ITP can be treated to raktpitta and definitely the trouble is related to raktvaha strotas. Since the raktapitta is urdhav and adho gat it is almosta n asadhya roga.

Picchavasti can be tried to some effect. Rest the entire diet and  treatment can be followed on the lines of raktpitta mentioned in charaka.

The treatment results are better after a splenectomy.

Ksheerapaka with turmeric would be good.
Prevent the allergen(Nidanam) like environmental pollution or mosquito mat.
Use vacha liberally post bath as a leha with breast milk and honey.

Tulsi: Water boiled with tulsi leaves helps sooth the soar throat. This water-tulsi mixture can also be used as a gargle.

Vasaka: Leaves of the vasaka plant is boiled with honey. A portion of this mixture is to be taken twice daily. This helps relieve cough.

Linseed: Powdered linseed seeds are mixed with water in the form of a tea. Sugar can be added to sweeten it. This remedy is even safe for children.

Change of Diet: Reduce the intake of protein, carbohydrates, and Fats. Also seed sprouts and whole grains should be eaten. Alcoholic drinks and coffee should also be avoided. Condiments difficult to such as pickles, sauces, and ketchup should not be used. Also, avoid refined foods, such as white bread, or white sugar. It is best to eat foods that are easier to digest. Generous servings of green vegetables (especially dark green ones), should be eaten.

Other important notes about diet: Drink plenty of water, especially during an asthma attack. In addition, only eat a light meal before bedtime. This will help reduce digestive complications.

Lifestyle Changes Avoid excess humidity, dust, and allergic pollens. Beware of any allergies. A patient can remove carpets from his or her bedroom to aid in dust reduction. A person should not overeat. Make sure that the patient is in a clean environment. This will help reduce risk of a future attack (because the house will be clean).

Exercise: Two Yoga exercises can aid in the clearing and restoring of the respiratory passage. This is done through the practice of slow inhalation and exhalation, and while stretching the back muscles. Neither of these specific Yoga positions is strenuous, therefore can be done by bronchitis patients. One is the “Half Wheel”, and the other is “The Bow.”

Sushruta mentioned in sushruta samhita that pitta type people are more prone to ulcerative colitis (rakata atisaar);ulcerative colitis is primarily a disease of pitta dosha with varying degrees of vata involvement,the latter determines how extensively the inflammatory process will spread proximally and the development of extra intestinal manifestations. the excessive consumption of paittika ahara (pitta-aggravating foods) and pitta-aggravating regimens initially damages both rakta dhatu and mamsa dhatu. vata dosha in the lower colon is also aggravated and in the early stages blocks the pitta and kapha channels causing further inflammation, mucous accumulation and edema

**diet
pathya: the following foods are generally recommended:
old basmati rice, barley, mung dal, urad dal, saffron, coriander, cumin, fennel,kidney beans, green lentils, cow's milk and butter, goat's milk and butter, almonds, water chestnut, pomegranate, banana, mango, limes, and kiwi fruit.

**apathya:all leftovers, spicy foods, white sugar, wheat, pasta, red grapes, vinegar, mustard, salty and acidic foods.

 1. combine equal quantities of the powders of jatiphala, jiraka, and dried bilva fruit. dosage: 3-6 grams with lime water :morning and evening 30-60-minutes before food.
2. prepare a decoction from equal amounts of the powders of vidanga, ativisha, mustaka, dhanyaka, and bilva. mix well. add 4 ounces of this herbal powder to ½ gallon (64 oz.) of water. boil over a low flame until liquid is reduced to 1 pint (32 oz.). dosage: 1 ounce morning and evening 30-60 minutes before food.
3.prepare a decoction from equal amounts of the powders of punarnava, guduchi, vacha, chirata, indrayava, and haritaki. mix well. add 4 ounces of this herbal powder to ½ gallon (64 oz.) of water. boil over a low flame until liquid is reduced to 1 pint (32 oz.). dosage: 1 ounce morning and evening 30-60 minutes before food. alternatively, this powder can be taken as a powder in the dosage of 3-6 grams with 1 tsp. honey and warm water morning and evening 30-60 minutes before food.
4.add ½ tsp pippali, bilva, jatiphala, and kutaja to 6 oz. goat's milk. add 1 tsp honey. mix and allow to stand (covered) for 60 minutes. drink every day 15-30 minutes after noontime hidden 4-6 oz dadima juice with 1 tsp. yastimadhu powder. drink morning and evening on empty hidden powder of yastimadhu two parts, rakta chandana one part, and shatavari one-half part. take 3-6 grams morning and evening with 4 oz. goats milk on an empty stomach.

In the ancient text the exact reference regrding Dharan is not available but i hv discussed with some vaidyas and acc. to them dharan is a Nadi chyuti (Displacement) and due to heavy work or heavy excercise it occurs . The main symptom : pain in abdomen around the umblicus and feelin of nausea and we diagnose this disease by measuring the distance b/t umblicus and rt. nipple and umblicus and lt. nipple. if the distance b/t the two not equal so this show that patient suffring from dharan.
