Ayurveda believes in the five elemental constituency of the world and the body is also made of the five elements i.e. air, water, fire, earth and space. The human body is also made up of the dosha, dhatu mala that are made up of these five elements and the constituents of the body; the doshas, dhatu, mala, are all made up of these five elements. The imbalance in the doshas and other substances are the causes of the diseases according to Ayurveda due to various reasons they are internal as well as external also. The Ayurveda line of treatment depends upon the dosha and uses of the relevant medicines that are acting on the doshas, dhatus and are commonly having the properties that are opposite to the causing agents or the related doshas.
