The Ayurveda system of medicine is divided into following eight branches. Shalya (surgery), Shalakya (ENT), Bhootvidya (Psychiatric), Kaumaarbhritya (Pediatrics), Rasayana (immunity development and preventive medication), Vaazikzrzn (aphrodisiacs), Agad Tantra (Toxicology) and Stri Prasooti (Obstetrics Gynecology). There are specific texts written on these segments in Ayurveda.
