Ayurvedic medicines are generally considered safe in comparison to Allopathic medicine. Are safety and toxicity studies done for all the medicines available in the market?

As per WHO traditional medicines that are in use since centuries and mentioned in any classical text for a specific disease or condition, need not undergo safety and toxicity studies. Any new formulation however, needs a safety and toxicity evaluation, i.e Pre-Clinical data before Clinical Trials of new formulations is done and then sold in the market
